Workshops with Nina Wise give you the physical and spiritual tools to translate your inner life into theater. Everyone has a story to tell. But few of us have the opportunity to express ourselves freely in a safe and supportive environment. What makes Nina’s workshops unique is her emphasis on the integration of body, mind and spirit.
Stories reside in the body, so we begin by moving from our center, giving voice and gesture to our private characters and realities. Unbounded self-expression is remarkably satisfying–for the heart, the mind, the soul, and the body.
The sessions include relaxation, meditation, movement, singing, storytelling, and theater games. Expect to surprise yourself, to become more playful and at ease before an audience, and to leave with an enhanced sense of well-being in both your personal and creative lives.
To register for Motion Theater workshops, we request you send a deposit to hold your space in the class. Deposits are refundable in full (less 15% processing fee) up to two weeks before the workshop. After that, if you choose to not attend the workshop, you can apply the balance (less 15% processing fee) to a workshop in the future within one year. If you drop out of a workshop after attending the first two classes, no refunds will be available.

Motion Theater 1+2
This workshop is designed for those who are new to Motion Theater and those more familiar with the form who want to develop their skills in presence, spontaneous expression, and freedom of being. The integration of movement, narrative and sound leads to forms of expression that are wildly uplifting, surprisingly funny, and weirdly addictive. If you've ever wanted to feel more free in your being, your body, and the world, Motion Theater is a great vehicle for just that. Pull yourself away from Facebook and Twitter and get together with warm breathing bodies and let loose.

Motion Theater 1-2 Workshop Series
Both an art form and a spiritual practice, the work of Motion Theater leads the participant to experience genuine presence, greater freedom of movement, and fluency with language. The sense of well being that arises can pervade all areas of one’s life. This workshop is designed for those with experience in Motion Theater and for those new to the form.

Motion Theater Summit
A weekend for anyone trained in Motion Theater to come together and work out with people from near and far. Meet new Motion Theater Artists. Refresh old bonds. Deepen your practice. We'll work in solo, duet and ensemble forms. Through this expressive, transformational practice, you’ll cultivate presence, advance your artistic craft and develop your leadership and presentation skills.

Designed for advanced students, this 12-week series is an opportunity for Motion Theater Artists to deepen their practice and performance skills. We'll focus on solo and ensemble forms.

Nina is available to anyone interested in creating a performance work, editing writing, developing skills and confidence in public speaking and presentations, enhancing creative expression... whatever your project or goal may be, Nina will help you see it through.
Refund Policy
Deposits for workshops and classes are refundable in full (less 15% processing fee) if you cancel at least one week before the start date. After that, the deposit is not refundable but you may apply it to any Motion Theater workshop within one year (less 15% processing fee). Once the class series begins, refunds are not available unless you suffer an extreme medical emergency or family emergency. In that case, the cost of the classes you have already taken will be deducted from the total you have paid, and the balance less 15% processing fee will be applied towards credit for another Motion class. This credit expires after one year if not utilized.
